Academic Professional Positions

Openings are available for two events coordinators. Krannert Center hosts a total of approximately 75 events by professional touring acts, 90 rentals, and 110 School of Music performances plus new work projects each season. An events coordinator is responsible for the success of each assigned event and must negotiate schedules and contract provisions with touring artists, tour managers, and other nonuniversity staff; plan the use of Krannert Center and its resources; make decisions on how to best allocate predetermined equipment and labor funds to fulfill production requirements; maintain a database for archival purposes; discuss room setups; create information sheets; submit payroll; maintain files; and manage workloads of various students, staff, and hired crew members. A bachelor’s degree and experience in event/production management, stage management, and/or stage technical experience are required. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience/expertise in presenting or producing world premiere new works and the use of innovative technologies in theatrical environments. Promenade

Student hourly sales associate positions are available. Night and weekend availability and experience with operating a cash register are required. Applicants should have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, a good knowledge of math, a positive attitude, and strong self-motivation. Sales associates perform general cashiering, present merchandise, engage in light stock work, and provide outstanding customer service. The pay is $8.25 per hour for 15 hours per week. Inquire in person at Promenade in the Lobby on Level 5 between 10am and 6pm any day.
