The Baseball Music Project
BOB THOMPSON, CONDUCTOR
DAVE WINFIELD, HOST AND NARRATOR
WITH THE CHAMPAIGN-URBANA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
STEVEN LARSEN, MUSIC DIRECTOR

Friday, November 12, 2010, at 7:30pm | Foellinger Great Hall

In this bracing, passionate celebration of these two stuck-together-like-bubble-gum pleasures, get on deck for new orchestrations of songs featuring America’s favorite game—like “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” and melodies from Field of Dreams and The Natural—while stunning baseball moments flash past in action photos and video. Baseball legend Dave Winfield narrates “Casey at the Bat” and baseball tales over tunes driven by the Champaign-Urbana Symphony Orchestra that capture the spirit of the game.

Don your favorite jersey and bring your whole team to this reimagined ballpark. Tickets for youth under 18 years of age are just $5. For information on discounts for groups of 10 or more that are any age, contact Outreach Director Crystal Womble at 217/244-0549 or contact her by e-mail.
