Department of Theatre Series | Bored Hypatia Tarleton desperately craves “to be an active verb,” although her father snorts that she actually just “wants adventures to drop out of the sky.” These warring perspectives meet on an apt battleground when dapper Joey Percival lands his plane with daredevil Lina Szczepanowska aboard right on their country estate. Discordant unions—between parents and children, love and money, youth and experience, wealth and need—breeze onto the grounds with each new guest, and barbed quips, blithe asides, and buoyant exchanges cleave the confines of Victorian society in this brisk comedy.
Join the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute for a talkback session following the performance on April 7.
This performance will last approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes.
