A unique cultural resource for the community, the University of Illinois Department of Dance offers a varied dance repertoire that includes contemporary dance premieres, repertory by prominent professional choreographers and resident faculty artists, and reconstructions of dance classics. The department's performance season also includes two programs of new work by graduate and undergraduate dance majors.
Department of Dance performances take place either in the Colwell Playhouse or the Studio Theatre.
